History

Bunbury Angling Club is an incorporated club with the pursuit of recreational angling as its primary goal.

The club commenced in July 1968 with 12 members and a trip to Boranup Beach, some respectable tailor were caught on this trip.

We have run a monthly beach event since, although a few have been cancelled due to stormy weather.

Our fishing trips have taken us to many new grounds and experiences since this first club outing.

In 1996 the club began an estuary section as an extra club activity. The estuary events are also run each month, except for January and June.

Beach events are normally run over two days from mid afternoon Saturday to mid morning Sunday. Estuary events are normally run for a nominated five-hour period.

Bunbury Angling Club caters for all age groups. We have sections for men, ladies and juniors in both beach and estuary.

If these activities interest you, contact the club for further information. Joining an angling club is a certain way of increasing your fishing knowledge and skills and your total fishing enjoyment.

With the new 2008/9 season getting underway, there are some vacancies for new members. If you have an interest in learning to fish, wanting to know where or when to fish, what gear works and how to use it, there may be some benefits in joining too.

The club caters for all with Men’s, Ladies and Junior events.
