Rules
EQUIPMENT
An angler must not use more than two rods or handlines at any one time. Each line must not have more than two hooks (a gang of hooks is considered to be one hook). Additional rods may be carried and rigged, but only two may be in the water at any one time. Any gauge of line is allowable.
BAG LIMITS
The one day State bag limits will apply to all club events with the exception that a maximum of 10 of any one species can be weighed, (unless the state limit is lower).
No more than 30 fish may be weighed by an angler at any one event.
In the case of combined beach and estuary events, a separate weigh-in will be conducted for each section.
Only one Wobbegong may be weighed.
Only one Western Rock Blackfish may be weighed.
SIZE LIMITS
State minimum and maximum size limits will apply on all club events with the exception of the following species:

INELIGIBLE SPECIES
Fish that are not eligible for weighing are: Boxfish, Blowfish, Pufferfish, Buffalo Bream, any reef shark (except Wobbegongs) and any Ray
CONDITION OF FISH
All fish must be gutted, clean and in good condition when presented for weighing.
All fish must exceed the minimum size as set out above and where applicable, not exceed the maximum allowable sizes.
POINT SCORING SYSTEM
Club championship points shall be allocated for the following:
1 point per fish
10 points per specie
5 points per kilogram ( i.e.only 2.5 points per kg for Wobbegongs)
10 points per kilogram for: Dhufish, Mackerel, Mulloway, Nanygai, Pink Snapper, Queen Snapper, Samson Fish, Sharks, Tuna
10 points for attendance at field day
25 points for a club record
50 points for a State record.
Points will be awarded for catch and released fish where:
The participant has measured and recorded fish of the following species:
The participant has weighed, measured and recorded any fish of any species. It is required that a reliable set of digital electronic scales be used.
Catch and release does not over-ride any rules applying to minimum or maximum size limits or ineligible species.
25 points deduction for up to 15 minutes late for weigh-in, total loss of points thereafter.
ROCKS OUT OF BOUNDS
Any area can be determined to be out of bounds at the club's monthly meeting.
